Dog obesity is a continuously growing epidemic in the United States, and this problem is only becoming worse. The core issue of today’s dog obesity issue is because pet owners aren’t aware of how to prevent or deal with their obese dogs.
Not that long ago, APOP’s survey revealed that there are 42 percent of dog and cat owners who said that they don’t know what healthy weights are for their pets. The most recent research investigating the problem of dog obesity in the USA indicated that 52.6 percent of canine population are classified as overweight (according to PetObesityPrevention.org).
